Changes During The Semester

Room changes during the academic semesters are overseen by the Community Director for your area of campus. Requests must be submitted in the Housing Portal up until the housing freeze period.

We highly encourage you to review this step-by-step guide about how to submit that request.

Before submitting a request, please keep in mind:

  • Room changes are not guaranteed and depend on available spaces.
  • Your request will be reviewed and must be approved by your Community Director.
  • If you are requesting a room change related to a disability-related accommodation, please follow the process outlined on our Accommodations page.
  • If your request is related to a roommate concern or conflict, your Community Director will work with you through a mediation process before a room change is considered.

If you have questions about the room change process or are unsure where to start, please don’t hesitate to contact us at or reach out to your Community Director.
